Welcome to the
Autism Society
Nova Scotia
In the fall of 2009, the Autism
Society Nova Scotia plans to pool its resources together with
the Provincial Autism Centre (PAC). This will enable everyone
to unite and blend together educational opportunities, volunteer
availability, family support, awareness, fundraising, and
recreational outlets.
This is
an exciting time for both organizations as we come together to
celebrate and support individuals and families living with autism.
We will
begin the process of winding down and through time will cease to be
a legal entity. The Autism Society Nova Scotia (ASNS) will be
issuing all relevant tax receipts in preparation and will continue
supporting the autism community by becoming directly involved with
the PAC. Our board members will continue an active role and our
society members can continue to volunteer and support as always.
This process will be greatly enhanced by your future support of the
Provincial Autism Centre.
Our
summer camp program for 2009 has been a huge success and plans for
camp 2010 have already begun. Future donations to the summer camp
can be made directly to the Provincial Autism Centre.
We look
forward to holding your support as we move forward and unite the
Autism Community of Nova Scotia.
